The Sumayyah Institute is built on a clear observation: the world has changed faster than ordinary schooling. Buildings, bells and report cards survived, but the things children actually need for this century were too often left outside the gate.

The institute is built around the home instead of a building. A school where parents are trained partners, where teachers know every child by name, where children present their work at a showcase every week, and where growth is made visible through the Portfolio Passport.

We call this category a homeschool-support academy, and it works at two depths. Some families give us the whole week: Sumayyah is their child's school. Others keep the school they are at and come to us after it, for a subject, a one-to-one class, or a course their timetable keeps postponing. Both are real membership here, and both are recorded in the same Portfolio Passport.

The institute carries the name of Sumayyah bint Khayyāṭ, among the first to accept Islam and the first to give her life rather than say a word she did not believe. We teach children to think carefully, show their reasoning and accept correction while it still matters, and those habits are not ends in themselves. They are how a child comes to hold something firmly enough to stand on it.
